Overview

Nestled in the heart of Venice at 30121 Venice, 1000 Coffee & Bakery offers an inviting escape from the bustling streets of the city. This coffee shop perfectly balances a relaxed atmosphere with quality, making it a must-visit for both locals and travelers seeking an authentic Italian café experience.

At 1000 Coffee & Bakery, the menu highlights reflect classic Italian flavors with a modern twist. Their Ham & Cheese Sandwiches and Bacon and Egg Panini provide solid, comforting options for breakfast or brunch, crafted with fresh ingredients that satisfy without overwhelming. The pizzas, especially the Pizza Bufala and Carbonara Pizza, showcase a genuine appreciation for traditional Italian cooking — fresh toppings atop perfectly baked crusts that capture Venice’s rich culinary heritage. The Pizza Vegetariano offers a vibrant option for those leaning into plant-based choices, rounding out an accessible yet varied menu.

The pastries are a standout facet of the experience. The tiramisu and pistachio croissants have gathered praise for their decadent, flaky textures and just-right sweetness. One reviewer described the pistachio croissant as the best in Italy, warm and slightly melted inside, ideal for a chilly Venetian morning. These baked treats pair seamlessly with the coffee, which is consistently described as bold, smooth, and well-prepared — no need for complicated orders here.

The space itself enhances the experience. With both indoor and outdoor seating available, patrons can enjoy their meal while soaking in views of the Maddalena church and the lively canal with passing gondolas. This setting adds a touch of Venetian charm without the hustle often found in tourist hotspots. The ambiance is approachable and unpretentious, with friendly staff who strike the right balance between attentiveness and ease, accommodating both Italian speakers and English visitors.

1000 Coffee & Bakery caters to a diverse audience—from the dedicated coffee connoisseur appreciating expertly brewed cappuccinos with non-dairy milk options, to travelers looking for convenient, high-quality brunch fare. The spot is easy to locate with online maps and offers the practical comforts of clean facilities, making it an optimal choice for a peaceful break amidst Venice’s vibrant pace.

In sum, 1000 Coffee & Bakery delivers on what matters most: well-executed food and drink, a welcoming atmosphere, and an authentic connection to Venetian culinary tradition. It’s a refreshing alternative to the typical café experience, prioritizing substance over spectacle. Whether you stop by for a quick coffee, a leisurely brunch, or a pastry to-go, this venue hits the mark every time.

This was my second visit to 1000 Coffee & Bakery in Venice—and somehow, it was even better than the first. You know a place is doing something right when you find yourself walking past a dozen cafés just to come back here. The coffee is proper—smooth, bold, and made right every time. You don’t need to overthink your order here; whatever you get, it just hits. And the pastries? Ridiculously good. Fresh, flaky, and dangerously addictive. I had one… and then immediately went back for another. No regrets. The vibe is relaxed, the staff are super friendly without being over the top, and everything just feels easy. No tourist-trap energy—just great coffee, quality food, and people who know what they’re doing. Safe to say this place has officially made it onto my “every time I’m in Venice” list. If you’re in the area and looking for a solid coffee and breakfast spot, don’t even think twice—just go.

A little gem in Venice with coffee and panini for our brunch. Easy to find from the ferry and using Google maps! Outdoor seating facing the Maddalena church and square and close to canal with frequent gondolas passing. Staff were warm and friendly and in spite of efforts to speak Italian, they responded in English for clarification.

Just stopped here to grab an afternoon Cappuccino, was pleased to see that they had non-dairy milk options to pick from. By far the most reasonably priced coffee I had in Venice. It was also one of the better coffees I had in my time here. Vibes were nice, sitting right in front of a canal / square.

I visited on weekday. The place has inside and outside places to eat. The pizza was nice and the ingredients were good but I won’t say is the best though a good one and the price was really good compared to other restaurants in the area. The staff is friendly, there’s toilets, the place is clean and overall was a good experience.

One of the best pistachio croissants I’ve had in Italy so far! I got a second one right after! It’s warm inside, the pistachio is a bit melted. Perfect for a cold morning! Went at 9-10am on a Sunday.

Great place to grab a slice of pizza and go. Perfect to eat something good and fast if you don't want to loose time in a restaurant. The location is pretty small, suitable for 1-2 let's say 3 persons. I had a slice of pizza, and ice coffee and a bottle of water and I paid 12.5 euros.

They have really good coffee, as well as really good vegetarian options with great tiramisu as well as indoor and outdoor seating. Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting. They also have a really cute aesthetic.

The croissants and cappuccinos were excellent; fresh, tasty, and definitely worth trying. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The only downside is that it gets quite busy, so there was a bit of a line, and we were lucky to find a spot to sit. That said, the view is absolutely amazing, right in Venice overlooking the canal, which makes it a perfect place to enjoy a coffee and pastry.
